Most Awesome Popular Culture LEGO Sets & Minifigures

For a long time, many people have had fun with LEGO sets and Minifigures. This company started manufacturing awesome sets and Minifigures in 1949. From then on, we had incessant fun with them. These sets have been played by both adults and kids alike. 

You may easily abandon a toy when you grow older, but this is not the case when LEGO is concerned. We rarely ever stop playing with them or coupling them together, no matter how old we may become. 

Many of us grew up to be adult fans of LEGO and collectors that have awesome collections. For a long time, these manufacturers have easily teamed up with popular brands to create great sets and Minifigures. We have seen a lot of Marvel sets and even DC sets. 

There is a great chance that the icon of pop culture that you love may be a LEGO Minifigure or set. 

If you are a fan of Star Wars, you will see Star Wars sets and Minifigures. If you are a fan of Harry Potter, there are a lot of Potterhead sets in existence. 

LEGO Daft Punk Minifigures

If you are a fan of music, there is a great chance that you will love these Minifigures. They are tasteful to the eyes and a lot of collectors can't do without them. Like earlier mentioned, LEGO loves to bring our icon of pop culture to live in their LEGO Minifigures. To satisfy music fans, who doubled as fans of the bricks, Jake Meier, a popular fan decided to create a music duo that we love. If you are into French Music, you may know of Daft Punk. This music duo treated our ears to awesome music. If you are talking of French Music Legends and you ignore Daft Punk, then what are you talking about? 2. LEGO Jurassic Park Set

When I was growing up, I loved dinosaurs. I wanted to play with toy dinosaurs, and I wished they really did exist. I always wanted a mad scientist to create one in his lab. Well, that was a pipe dream. 

When I was introduced to Jurassic Park, I fell helplessly in love with dinosaurs. Who wouldn't? My parents got me the LEGO Jurassic Park set. I was happy for weeks. I could not wait to show it to my friends. 

You know of the film directed by Steven Spielberg that was created in 1993, this set was created to mimic this movie. 

In this set, you will see some dinosaurs, and our favorite- the T-rex. It seemed quite menacing. 

If we didn't add this set to the list, it won't be complete. 

3. LEGO Star Wars Super Star Destroyer

Star Wars! Is there any nerd or geek that doesn't love star wars. Growing up, I loved Star Wars. Anything that had Star Wars interested me. If I saw a Star Wars T-shirt, I wanted it. If I saw a Star Wars book, I needed it. What about the LEGO Star Wars Super Star Destroyer? I craved for it. I wasn't the only one, as a lot of other fans craved for it. 

If you watch the Star Wars series, there is a great chance that you know of the Super Star Destroyer. This set tries to replicate the star destroyer. The LEGO set has three thousand pieces and has a measurement of fifty inches long. It also has a weight of below eight pounds.

If you get it, you will also see some Minifigures that you recognize. 

4. LEGO Knight Rider Set

Do you know of the Knight Rider movie? Well, some fans decided to come together to create this set. It was created by Stanley-Efu, and it was created with the mind of replicating the Knight Rider. You will see Minifigures like Devon Miles, Michael Knight, and so on. What are you waiting for? Go and snatch this up. 

LEGO Monty Python and the Holy Grail Set

There is a great chance that you may have watched the movie that this set was created from. The creators decided to make a parody set of this movie. Can we say that it is out of this world? This movie is a classic that came out in 1975. If you are a fan of classics, you should consider watching it and you will notice some comic semblance between the movie and the sets. 

6. Breaking Bad Superlab LEGO Set

Can we say that this was one of the best TV shows in existence? I know that you agree with me. If we are to rank the best one hundred shows, this one will be part of the list. It is a series that I couldn't do without.

If you watched this series, you would have noticed the lab that Gus built. LEGO decided to replicate this lab in the set. When you stare at the LEGO lab, your mind will wander to the Superlab that was built by Gus for Jesse and Walt to use.

You will see a Minifigure of Mike. I wished we had Jesse's Minifigure there too, but, it was not possible. 

7. The Goonies 30th Anniversary LEGO Set

This movie is more than thirty years old. It should be thirty-five years old this year. This set was brought to commemorate its thirty years of age in 2015. When it came out, '70s and 80's kids were nostalgic. If you had watched the Goonies, there is a great chance that you were impressed. You may remember some of the fun characters like Mouth, Data, Mikey, Sloth, and Chunk. You will see them in this set. 

I can't believe that we are this old. 

If you don't know this classic movie, it won't be a bad idea to stream it online. You will be impressed. 

8. Modular Apple Store LEGO Set

Apple is one of the most popular brands in existence. It is also ranked as one of the richest. There is hardly anyone that doesn't know of this brand. Immediately a product is dropped, millions of people rush to buy it. This has made their retail stores to be so busy. You can hardly enter an Apple retail store without seeing people inside. To celebrate this popular brand, LEGO decided to create a model of the ever buys LEGO retail store. They paid attention to details, adding every aspect that you would see in a normal Apple store. You would even see a spiral glass staircase. Isn't that awesome? You should consider getting this set. Can we just clap for LEGO?

9. LEGO Volkswagen T1 Camper Van

There is a great chance that you may have seen the 1962 Volkswagens, Camper Van. It is one vehicle that almost everyone has come across. You may have seen it on the road or even in the movies. If you watch classic movies, this vehicle most likely would make an entrance there. 

To recognize how popular this vehicle is, LEGO decided to create one that mimicked it. Can we say that it is a perfect replica? A lot of attention was paid to details. If it were left to me, I would have looked for the magic to increase the size of the LEGO camper van so that I can live in it. You will see the ‘splitting’ safari windshield' and so on. It is a collector's item. 

10. The Muppets LEGO Set

Growing up, I couldn't get enough of the Muppet Show. I lived and breathed it. Any time it came on, I was excited. I loved every character, from Gonzo, the Fozzie Bear, and Kermit. Was there any way that we couldn't love them? It reminded me of the Jim Henson gang.

There was so much buzz from it, but it didn't possess the ten thousand supporters goal. It was annoying. 

11. Tron LEGO Lightcycle

Have you watched Tron? If your answer is yes, that means you loved it. I did too. LEGO decided to create a light cycle that was common in Tron. When it came out, I wanted it badly. The life-size Tron light cycle is so expensive, as it has a price tag of fifty-five thousand dollars. For those of us that could not afford the real deal, we had to make do with the Tron LEGO light cycle, which was equally awesome. 

12. Street Fighter LEGO Minifigures

Street Fighter! This is one of the best fighting games in existence. It can only be a classifier with Mortal Kombat. Those games made it childhood were. We were happy with this game came out as a Minifigure. I couldn't wait to snatch it up. This creator paid intense attention to details. To celebrate twenty-five years in existence, Julian Fong, a notable LEGO creator decided to design this set. Well, it wasn't accepted on LEGO CUUSOO. The reason for the rejection was that it was not great for LEGO. LEGO could not be associated with the content. 

13. Ron Burgundy LEGO Minifigure

Have you watched Anchorman? This is one classic movie that should be ranked in the best one hundred classic movies in existence. We loved it, and I am sure that you loved it. When the sequel hit the cinema, we couldn't get enough of it. It is an awesome holiday movie. When the sequel came out, LEGO decided to create a Minifigure to commemorate the launch of this awesome movie. 

14. The Dark Knight Rises LEGO Minifigures

The Dark Knight trilogy was something that I loved. When it ended, I felt like crying. LEGO decided to make it live on by creating these Minifigures. You will see a number of varieties of Batman. Well, our favorite villain is also present. Can Batman be a superhero if he didn't have a villain like Bane to disturb him? The manufacturers of this set ensured that Bane was properly represented there. 

You should consider buying it if you are a fan of Batman or the Dark Knight Trilogy. 

15. LEGO Architecture Studio

LEGO initially brought out its Architecture line and they made massive sales with them. This prompted the creates to work with notable architects to create the Architecture Studio set. What they created was awesome. Can we just clap for them?

In this set, you will see over a thousand rocks that are transparent and white. There is a guide book that makes coupling the bricks easier. There are a number of sorting trays in existence. 

This set was designed to motivate budding architects to make awesome pieces. 

If you have someone that you want to motivate, it won't be a bad idea to get him or her this set. 

16. LEGO Star Wars Death Star

This set was also created to replicate the Star Wars Death Star. It is no news that LEGO loves to collaborate with Star Wars in creating different Star Wars-themed sets. There are a lot of these sets in existence. The perfect match made in heaven. In this set, you will see twenty-five Minifigures. You will coke across Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker, Chewbacca, Han Solo, C-3PO, R2-D2, as well as more characters. 

17. LEGO Batmobile Tumbler

Batman has a number of Batmobiles, and the Tumbler is one of them. Can we say it is the best? I loved the Tumbler, it is the definition of awesomeness. 

A LEGO builder that goes by the name, Brent Waller, decided to make this set to replicate the batmobile. When it was created, it passed the needed ten thousand supporter mark. This has made LEGO put it under consideration. LEGO CUUSOO's team is currently reviewing this awesome set. 

We hope that we can buy it soon. Tumbler may not be the latest Batmobile, but I love it. 

18. Land-Rover LEGO Defender

This vehicle can go on any terrain, and that is why many people love the Land Rover. It is awesome that you can do well on a level surface or even rough terrain. When LEGO decided to create a vehicle to mimic the Land Rover, I wanted it. The creators paid serious attention to details. This model can be controlled via radio. You will even see them in RWD and AWD modes. You will also come across the wheel disc brakes, as well as an auto clutch. It also possesses 5+R speeds sequential gearbox. This set was designed by a LEGO builder, and fortunately, it has gone past the needed ten thousand supporter mark. It is currently been reviewed by the team on CUUSOO.

19. The Legend of Zelda LEGO Set

If this set had been produced, we would have wanted it. This set was meant to be for gamers, but it was rejected. It got through the ten thousand required supporter mark, but after it was reviewed, it was tossed in the garbage. It was rejected by the team because they said the Minifigures would have been expensive. LEGO is a company that loves to pay attention to details. The molds that would have been used to create the mini figures would have been so expensive. This would have translated to expensive Minifigures. This was not feasible. The high price may have discouraged potential buyers. We hope that if LEGO could find an alternative way of making it cheaper than they would revisit its creation. 

20. Man of Steel LEGO Set

Before the Man of Steel LEGO set was created, Superman remake had come out the year before. This action movie blew my mind. The cinematography was out of this world and the Superman character did justice to what we expected. When the movie was out, many fans clamored for a Man of Steel Set, and we got it. If you loved the movie, it won't be a bad idea to buy the movie's licensed LEGO set. You will love it. 

21. The A-Team LEGO Set

There is a great chance that you know the A-Team and the classic GMC Vandura that they drove. I have always wanted to have that vehicle. It seems cool. To commemorate how cool it was, Ralph, an avid builder decided to design it. It is currently under the recommendation and we hope that it becomes an official set soon. We can't wait. 

22. LEGO Lord of the Rings: Tower of Orthanc

Lord of The Rings is one of the best movie trilogies in existence. This movie blew my mind. I watched every scene and was sad when it ended. Its books are out of this world. Everyone that was involved in the creation of the book and the movie should be awarded. If you have watched the movie, there is a great chance that you remember Saruman’s massive tower. LEGO decided to bring it back to life by using bricks. It has over two thousand pieces and has a measurement of twenty-eight inches tall. It comes with six floors, as well as some Minifigures. You will see popular characters like Saruman and Gandalf there. 

23. The Walking Dead LEGO Minifigures

LEGO seems to have issues with creating bricks that bear semblance to Walking Dead, Shaun of the Dead, and Street Fighter. To them, these characters are not in line with their brands. No matter how fans complain, LEGO seems to be adamant about that. We hope that one day LEGO would collaborate with the aforementioned companies, but that is not happening anytime soon.

For now, we don't see LEGO officially creating a flesh-eating zombie or even a vampire. Well, they have a brand philosophy that they do not want to change. Can we just hope even when it is pointless?

24. LEGO Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Minifigures

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have been on our screen s for a long time. There are a lot of versions in existence now. I couldn't get enough of them as a kid. To commemorate their suffers, Michael Bay decided to design this. This set will work for both adults that loved Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles as a kid, and even kids. 

In this set, you will see every Teenage Ninja Turtle there. Our favorite ninjas from Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo to Donatello are present. You will also see some villains there. What are heroes without villains to fight? Well, villains make the heroes.

25. E.T. LEGO Set

E.T. is one of the best movies in existence. There's hardly anyone that doesn't know of this movie. It was one of the best movies created by Steven Spielberg.

It is now seen as pop culture. This 1982 classic has been watched and rewatched by me. This set is meant to have about five hundred pieces. Though many people have been talking about this set, there has not been many supporters. 

26. Shaun of the Dead Zombie LEGO Set

Do you remember that comic zombie movie that we loved- the movie created by Mick Frost and Simon Pegg? 

Well, Yatkuu, a notable LEGO builder decided to tap inspiration from there when designing this set. This set got a lot of supporters, who wanted LEGO to create it, but unfortunately, it was turned down. The reason LEGO gave was that it was not appropriate for those that bought the sets they produced.

27. Marvel’s The Avengers LEGO Set

Well, this is the first Marvel's set on this list. We love Marvel's fans, and it would be wrong if we didn't add them too. Avengers is awesome. It is one of the best movies in existence. There is hardly anyone that doesn't know this team of superheroes we adored. If the Avengers existed in real life, I wouldn't mind joining them. I love them and what they stand for. 

This set was made to replicate the box office movie that won our hearts. In this set, you will see important characters like Captain America, Thor, Hulk, Iron Man, and so on. What are you waiting for?

28. LEGO Back to the Future DeLorean Time Machine

Back to the Future is one movie that I loved. There is hardly anyone that has not watched the classical wonder. I can watch it over and over again without being bored. Like always, LEGO decided to collaborate with the creators of this awesome movie to make this set. It went successful through CUUSOO. When it came out, a lot of fans rushed it. You will see the different characters in the movie in this set, like the time-traveling DMC. There is Marty McFly and Dr. Emmet ‘Doc’ Brown too. These characters come in the shape of Minifigures.

29. LEGO Star Wars Ewok Village Set

There are a lot of Star Wars collaborations in existence. LEGO loves Star Wars, and this can be seen in the numerous sets and Minifigures in existence. We could write only about Star Wars and its sets and Minifigures, and the list will be complete. 

There are a lot of Star Wars fans that won't stop buying these sets. This set has two thousand pieces. You will notice that this set mimics the forest moon of Endor.

When you buy this set, you will see seventeen Minifigures that have things like Luka, Leia, and so on. You will see numerous droids there. In this set, you will also see speeder bike, as well as a stormtrooper.

30. LEGO Game of the Thrones Minifigures

This movie series is one of the best in existence. Though many people didn't like the ending, we still loved the other seasons. This is a series that we loved, and it can be ranked in the same league with Breaking Bad. It ended a while back, and the LEGO set was created recently too. It may not be an official LEGO set, but miniBIGS decided to create one. It has a lot of Minifigures like Eddard and Arya Stark, John Snow, Tyrion Lannister, and Daenerys Targaryen.

Why not get these pop culture LEGO sets? They are awesome and remind us of movies and cartoons that we love. These sets will make sense as a decorative item too.
