Light Kit for LEGO® Time Machine from Back to the Future 77256

First time installing a light kit. Very nice packaging, fairly easy to put together. There’s no paper manual in the box, which I find a bit strange, but there is a link to an online version with detailed instructions.

The kit has four light modes, and if you don’t like blinking lights, the main connector has an additional slot so you can simply bypass the controller and connect the lights directly.

It’s also very cool that there are dedicated lights for the front headlights (some of the other sets on the market are missing this).

I’m not entirely happy with how the light strip is added to the “time circuits” at the rear of the car - they look great in the end, but the LED strip just sits on top and isn’t really secured in any special way (apart from two adhesive stickers).

The only thing I miss with this type of set is a timer - it would be great to have the option to run the lights for, say, 8 hours, and then have them turn off automatically.

Anyway, I definitely think this is a very solid addition to the set if you want to put it on display.

Great kit that really brings the little DeLorean to life! Honestly, I only have two small suggestions for improvement.

First, the LED strip for the rear Flux bands is actually a bit shorter than the LEGO pieces themselves, so it would be nice if it were the same length as the actual LEGO pieces. Also, having the LEDs fitted underneath the strip (like with the front Flux bands) would look better.

Second, at first I was a bit worried that there was no manual showing where to place all the different LEDs. Then I found out that the manual is available somewhere on your website, but I don't recall seeing any information about this in the small brochures included with the kit, so I had to Google it.

A printed manual would be awesome, but I understand that it probably wouldn't fit in the small packaging boxes, so it's totally fine to have the manual online. Maybe just having one very visible card or sticker with something like "Find the manuals here..." would be useful and a nice little improvement. :)

Overall, though, I'm really happy with the kit!

Another well crafted and manufactured light kit from the experts .. just make sure you connect the right leds in the right place .. otherwise you may end up with a blue headlight and a white one 🤔 .. quick correction and I was back on track .. awesome, quick and easy to assemble. The supplied tools are always a bonus and the boxes are always sleek and the packaging professional. Pay attention to the slide lever on the bottom connector affixed to the chassis .. it will change your pattern 🥳🤠
