This light kit is great. Very good value compared to light my bricks, very easy detailed step by step instructions to complete and everything you need in one small box. Great product and very highly recommend people.
Finally completed installing the lights today - this one has taken an age (I have 8 other modular buildings, all with GoB lights). I prefer to bury the wiring inside the walls so its not visible, even from inside, which is mainly why this one was so tricky, due to the complex design of the Lego set. I made a couple of changes to the set/kit :
1. I always use wireless power connectors between layers
2. I didn't fit the outside hanging banners when I built the set, as I don't really like them, and they cover windows. I re-designed the GoB spotlights to point downwards and light the large statues instead
3. I re-built the rooftop curator's office so the door is at the front and functions as a window. I intend to display the model against a wall, and wanted all the nice detail inside the office to be visible
Likes: The pink lights on the tree look great, though tricky to fit if you don't want visible wires
Dislikes - Don't like the single LED strip all around the pointed part of the facade - would have been easier (and less visible) if these has been separate
LED strip along back of fence under tree was hard to fit without showing - no way would I weave it into the fence like the instructions suggest - would look terrible
Overall, yet another great GoB kit - usual good quality and value
It has brought my museum to life. I love it.
