Overall this is fantastic !! Definitely not for the faint hearted as can be quite complicated (see more below), and I do have a couple of small gripes, but nothing to take the shine off the finished product.
The nacelles required a small modification to close properly (just removed a couple of 3x3 grey plates to allow the top section to flex a bit more and click into place, and found myself rerouting cables numerous times to find the best route, which was often through the interior of the saucer section rather than under tiles. There’s no clear way to hide the wires from the nacelles, but this is more of a limitation with the build rather than the lights, and I did find a way to minimise this by making the wires follow the line of the bricks rather than running diagonally across the base of the hull.
My biggest issue was right at the end where you’re told to gather all the wires together and try to hide behind the deflector dish - this seemed very rushed and looked terrible, so decided to find an alternative.
By sacrificing the saucer separation function and rebuilding part of the internal structure of the main hull I was able to route the cables from the saucer section through the shuttle bay and down into the hull, making a space behind the ‘slots’ for the stand to store the circuit boards etc. This resulted in just one wire trailing down through the stand and into the battery pack.
